At Richard Burke Design all of our work is handcrafted by our small team in our workshop. We select only the finest timbers from the saw mills of Europe and the USA. Then we lovingly and carefully work this wonderful natural resource into beautiful handcrafted kitchens and stand alone furniture pieces.

Each piece of timber, a renewable resource, is carefully examined. Defects are removed and natural characteristics allowed flourish. Timbers are cut and planed. They are bonded and shaped, and sanded and treated. All the while each piece is being handled and nurtured numerous times. It’s density and qualities are being tested at every stage, our knowledge and experience telling us if it is suitable to be used in a piece of furniture that leaves our workshop.

The joy we feel in seeing a rough sawn plank of timber enter our yard and then be hewn and transformed into a highly finished and detailed kitchen or piece of furniture is only matched by our satisfaction in knowing your joy and appreciation on receiving your handcrafted kitchen.
